Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to another FANTASTIC year at Cold Lake Elementary!!! I would like to extend a warm welcome to all the new and returning families to our school. CLES is a "happening" place with lots going on for our "precious" children in our new spectacular school!!

Our students are very important to us and we continually strive to make CLES a "safe and caring school" where each child is loved and cared for!! Our Mission Statement is "At Cold Lake Elementary School we cherish and nurture the whole child! Education with a Heart!"

Cold Lake Elementary School is a safe, caring and exciting place for our students to learn!!!  We offer a Pre-school program as well as Kindergarten to Grade 4 classes to serve the needs of students in Cold Lake.

Our staff at CLES focuses on meeting the individual needs of our students first and operates from a student-centred model of instruction.  We believe in a holistic approach to education and supporting our students' individual learning needs.  We continually focus on implementing the best instructional practices available to successfully engage students in meeting the curriculum outlined in the Alberta Program of Studies.  Cold Lake Elementary staff is also committed to the implementation of a school wide Moral Intelligence program, which emphasizes the values of compassion, empathy, respect, honesty, and responsibility.

At CLES, we value our parent volunteers and community members tremendously.  Our School Council is a highly effective team that works cooperatively with our staff to address our students' needs.  Please do not hesitate to come in and meet us in person as we would love to visit with you!!!

Yours Truly,

Kathy McKale
