Indigenous Peoples Day 2025!
Indigenous Peoples Day was simply amazing! There are so many thank you's that need to be shared!
- Ms. Moore, you championed this from the start and convinced us all to trust the process!
- Dani Moore: Our CLFN Education Liaison, you are truly amazing!
- Cold Lake First Nations - Thank you to all your elders and people from all the different departments that came out to provide these exceptional experiences!
- Nelson Heights School - Northern Lights Public Schools AB - Mrs. McLeod, Mrs. Eagles and the entire staff for hosting this amazing day and the willingness to jump right in with us!
- Primco Dene for supplying the BBQ and all the food to feed over 700 people and also some amazing draw prizes to finish the day!
- Our CLES and NHS school councils, parents and other volunteers for cooking, cleaning, cheering and running herd all day for us!
- Staff from SFSK, CLES and NHS who volunteered to create and run stations for us.
- The grade 6 students of NHS who stepped right in with our K and 1 classses to help in every way possible.
- Apologies to anyone we may have missed!
So many of us left with full hearts and our students saying it was the best day ever!
We can't wait to do it again in 2026!
